How Will I Know If I Am Eligible?
Eligibility for Efficiency Arizona is based on a variety of factors, including household income. You can find out if you are eligible for the current rebate program either through Income Qualification or Categorical Eligibility.
Homes with existing heat pumps are not eligible for the heat pump rebate.
To find out if you are eligible, fill out the Efficiency Arizona Eligibility Screening Tool.
Income Qualification
Area Median Income (AMI) is the midpoint of a region’s income distribution, where half of the families earn more than the median and half earn less. AMI varies across the state and is both location-dependent and based on household size.
Here is how to establish your Area Median Income (AMI).
1. Locate the Area Name/County of your residence
2. Select the number of people who reside in your household
3. Using those two points, verify the income limit
Any household that is above the 150% area median income limits are not eligible for this program. The AMI data is updated annually by the US Department Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
